Brief description of elastic couplings
The elastic coupling is an integrated metal form with elastic elements. It has appropriate compensation for the relative offset of the two drive shafts and general damping and buffer properties. It is applicable for the high and medium speed drive that always needs positive and reverse running changes and to start frequently. It is with simple structure. Elastic elements are made from nylon, used for shock absorption, have higher strength and wear resistance. It is characterized by large transmission torque, high manufacturing and installation accuracy, good cushioning, small size, light weight, convenient maintenance. It is suitable for transmission machinery, lifting and transportation machinery and other heavy machinery.
The elastic coupling adopts either parallel or spiral groove structures to accommodate the various deviations and precisely transfer the torque. Commonly used types of elastic coupling are: elastic sleeve pin coupling, elastic pin coupling, plum coupling, diaphragm coupling(single diaphragm and double diaphragm), serpentine steel flex coupling(large equipment), helical elastic coupling (commonly used for encoders), bellows coupling, high elasticity coupling (connection of pump, speed reducer, diesel engine, etc.), elastic tire couplings, etc. It can be selected according to the actual application environment.
