The laser distance sensor works based on comparative phase measurement. It receives the returned diffusely reflected light after emitting the laser beams and calculates the distance between objects corresponding to the phase shift through signal comparison. The sensor emits visible laser beams that can easily align with the target object. With measurement precision up to mm level. The distance sensor programs the switch output and analog output separately by using different parameters, and uses the external trigger to provide remotely triggered measurement. It can maintain high measurement accuracy and reliability even in the harsh outdoor environment, mainly used to measure length, width, thickness and position of various strips/plates, thus it is widely used for measuring the position of coil car to the payoff reel, loop size and coil diameter in cold rolling line and hot rolling line.
