This series of tongs are mainly used for lifting horizontal coils. Driven by the torque motor, the two grippers open or closed through the sprockets, worm reducer, gear and rack; a pair of proximity switches are installed on the inner side of the grippers, and the grippers of the tong stop moving before contacting the coil, and they do not contact the both sides of the coil during coil handling. The inner surface of the grippers is attached with pads to protect the coil from damage. The motorized horizontal coil tong moves flexibly, handles the coil safely and clamps the coil accurately. This heavy duty machine is easy in use and operates efficiently. It is mainly used for lifting large batches of horizontal coils in steel plants, warehouses, wharfs and other occasions.
